| QUALITY Our
policy is simple, quality is #1. We go to great lengths to achieve quality
standards that meet and exceed our customers, including national accounts,
standards. Our building was designed with the quality of products produced
always being considered. We have on staff, a full time quality assurance
director who has an extensive background in food science. We use in house
and outside labs to cross check our work. We have seven (7) quality
inspectors, one for each production line on each shift.
SERVICE Our policy is to satisfy the customer. Whether the customer makes a mistake or we do, we always correct the problem immediately. One reason for our rapid growth is that we cater to our customers needs such as custom cut vegetables and on time deliveries. PRICE Our volume has increased over previous years. This was accomplished through additional interest in fresh cut vegetables, quality, service, and price. Our policy is not to be the cheapest but to be price competitive. We have the volume to buy raw products and keep our cost down to be competitively priced. In the past year, we have been servicing several new food processors and national accounts with 10% to 15% savings on food costs. VOLUME We are one of the largest fresh cut vegetable processors and vegetable purveyors in the state. We have state of the art equipment and a fleet of trucks. Additional volume will not be a problem to handle properly. BUILDING EQUIPMENT AND LOCATIONS Our multi-million dollar plant and equipment was designed to maximize quality and production. The location is in the Eastern Market of Detroit, giving us access to local farmers supplies. Our property is on the C. N. Railroad track for products shipped by rail cars. We are just four (4) blocks from Interstate 75, which makes it easy access for our deliveries and customer pickups. Our fleet of tractor trailers, straight trucks and vans are all fully equipped with the highest standard of engines, load capacities, refrigeration and accessories to insure a product that arrives on time and at a proper temperature. IMPROVEMENTS We are continually updating our plant to better service our customer needs. We now have an in house lab and a state of the arts cooking facility. Our production area is completely refrigerated and we are adding new refrigerated trucks to our fleet as needed. |
