The policy is simple; Food safety and quality are #1. The company goes to great lengths to achieve quality standards that meet and exceed our customers, including national accounts standards. The multi-million dollar plant and equipment was designed to maximize food safety quality and production. On staff is a full time Quality Assurance Director who has an extensive background in Food Science. We use in house and outside labs to cross check the quality of our products. We have seven (7) Quality Inspectors, one for each production line on each shift.
Pellerito Foods has a fully implemented and compliant HACCP program with trained and certified managers on staff at all times. Our food safety program and good manufacturing practices are continually monitored and current with industry standards. Pellerito Foods is third party audited and maintains a superior rating.

The location is in the Detroit Historical Eastern Market, with access to local farmers and supplies. Our property has rail access and is ½ mile from the I-75, which makes it easy access for our deliveries and customer pickups. All of our delivery trucks are all fully equipped with the highest standard of load capacities, refrigeration and accessories to insure a product that arrives on time and at a proper temperature to maintain quality and safe products.
Servicing prepared food companies such as food service and national accounts requires quality, safety, and cost competitiveness. Customers have a 10% to 15% cost savings on average buying our fresh-cut and refrigerated cooked products. We are continually updating our plant to better service our customer needs. Food Safety and Quality are first in the plant with an in-house lab and a state of the arts cooking facility. Our production area is completely refrigerated.
